Durodata developed an online, secure real-time analysis system for Tariffmatch using Microsoft ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server technologies. The application, hosted by DuroData is held within a highly secure physical and digital environment at The Bunker and allowed telecommunications providers in the UK to take customers billing information and analyse the data against multiple tariffs to give their customers optimal savings. For the customer, the system produces a detailed graphical report which can be viewed either online or can be printed and shows the customer both their existing spend and a breakdown of any savings that would be made by switching tariffs.

The speed and exceptional reporting results produced by the online system were soon discovered by many major telecoms providers in the UK. Large organisations came to expect the kind of detailed report Tariffmatch had to offer when looking to change providers.

Durodata has continued to work with TariffMatch since the initial development in 2004 to both enhance functionality of the system and to develop the system to cope with the ever increasing data crunching demands put on the database servers. The system, once running on a single database server now runs in a multi node server farm, making use of the latest Microsoft SQL server transactional replication technology and highly complex load balancing algorithms developed by Durodata.

The Tariffmatch system now encompasses multiple different reporting models which telecommunications providers across the world can take advantage of, whether it is providing a health check report for customer retention, running an acquisition report in order to win business or even completely customised reporting to fit the customer’s requirements. These are all available as global reports, in multiple languages and currencies, online, in real time.
