Durodata developed an online solution utilising ASP.NET 4 and SQL Server. The site consists of three distinct areas:
The main CoBRA Scheme website conveys information about the company and its objectives. In addition to this we are utilising the data held in the SQL Server database to allow users to search and locate recycling points in their local area by displaying the information on a Google Map interface embedded into the site. Through the online CMS system CoBRA are able to update core areas of the site to keep the content fresh, relevant and up to date.
Signup and account management was an important part of the development. Users are able to sign-up to the scheme online and produce the necessary documentation to accompany the batteries with minimum effort significantly reducing the time spent both by them and the administration team to a minimum. Graphical battery meters displaying the user’s progress towards a target give immediate feedback and keep the user informed of their progress.
As well as a CMS system to keep the site data up to date we developed a suite of tools to help the CoBRA management team administer their users and keep track of the progress made both at a local and national level. In addition to these tools access restrictions at multiple levels allows them to keep full control over their data.
